First airing in early 2023, this new addition to the MasterChef universe sees an array of new and exciting challenges for the up-and-comers (all aged between 18 and 25), as well as feature well-known and world-renowned foodie guests throughout the series. Fronted by judges Poppy O’Toole, who trained as a chef in a Michelin-starred kitchen and rose to fame on TikTok, and professional chef and Great British Menu finalist Kerth Gumbs, Young MasterChef UK sees a new generation of foodies are rewriting the rules.
Applications for Young MasterChef UK are open to people from all backgrounds with a passion for food. No experience or training is necessary. You also need to be aged between 18 and 24 (as of 1st July 2023), not professional, nor working full time in a restaurant kitchen.
