CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF FINAL

It’s Finals Week and five celebrities are within touching distance of the trophy. But to make it to the top, they will need determination, bravery and some outstanding cookery. The celebrities need to hold their nerve and show why they have made it this far. Standards will no doubt be through the roof, leaving John and Gregg with their toughest decision yet. This nail-biter of a finale culminates in the crowning of 2024’s Celebrity MasterChef champion. The celebrities aiming to follow Wynne Evans – last year’s winner – to victory are: TV and Radio Presenter, Craig Doyle; Gladiator and Team GB Sprinter, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey; Pop Star, Ian ‘H’ Watkins; Actor, Rochenda Sandall; and Professional Dancer and Choreographer, Vito Coppola.

TUESDAY

The first brief of the week is to cook a dish inspired by a well-known chef. Can these cooks put their own stamp on creations that represent their chosen culinary genius? Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace are hopefully in for a treat, as amongst the chefs chosen to spark the celebrities’ culinary flair are Yotam Ottolenghi, James Martin and Heston Blumenthal. After scrutinising their creations, the judges will pick their favourites, leaving one celebrity to face the chop.

The four who are left have no time to celebrate, as they have a train to catch in one of the most exciting challenges yet. They are taking charge of lunch service aboard the iconic British Pullman train, which paved the way for luxury travel in the 1920s. Head chef John Freeman has designed today’s menu for the 20 passengers on board, and each celebrity will oversee one course. All prep needs to be completed before the train sets off, and then the celebrities will be cooking and plating their dishes in compact galley kitchens.

THURSDAY

Finals Week continues, and the remaining four celebrities battle for their place in the final three. Just one plate of food stands in their way. Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace’s brief is to deliver a dish inspired by someone special - a dish full of emotion that sets the taste buds alight. A single error could be their ticket home, as the judges can only put the very best through.

The final three brace themselves, as next up is an experience like no other. They head to the five-star Cowarth Park Hotel in Berkshire, home to the Michelin-starred restaurant Woven, where they work under the guidance of one of the country’s most innovative chefs, Adam Smith. The food here is based in the classics but includes complex techniques that can take years to master - so the celebrities need to quickly hit the Michelin standard. Extra pressure is piled on by the illustrious guest list of diners: six gastronomic trailblazers including Aktar Islam (Opheem), Anna Haugh (Myrtle) and Frederick Forster (190 Queen’s Gate).

FRIDAY

This is it - the Celebrity MasterChef 2024 final. After six weeks of tough competition, there are just three determined celebrities in with a shot at taking the title. Everything they have worked for comes down to their ability to wow the judges with their ultimate dinner party menu.

The celebrities need to hold their nerve and show why they have made it this far. Standards will no doubt be through the roof, leaving John and Gregg with their toughest decision yet. This nail-biter of a finale culminates in the crowning of 2024’s Celebrity MasterChef champion.
